97th AMW welcomes new commander with change of command ceremony
ALTUS AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. – Members of the 97th Air Mobility Wing look on as the 97th AMW change of command ceremony takes place at Wings of Freedom Park, June 27. In a centuries-old tradition, Col. William A. Spangenthal assumed command from Col. Anthony B. Krawietz. The change of command is a formal transfer of responsibility from one commander to the next. This ceremony is performed before wing members, allowing each person to observe the placing of authority and responsibility. (U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Airman Jesse Lopez / Released)
