Denton Amendment allows Altus AFB to support humanitarian operations
ALTUS AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. -- A C-17 Globemaster III from Altus AFB lands at Managua Airport, Nicaragua, Feb. 20, to deliver pallets of food and school supplies in support of humanitarian operations. The delivery of the donations was made possible because of the Denton Program, which allows for the transport of humanitarian goods on a space available basis using U.S. military transportation.
