GOWEN FIELD, Idaho -- An F-15 Eagle from the 173rd Fighter Wing, Ore. Air National Guard, takes off for a routine training mission at Gowen Field, Boise, Idaho during Sentry Displacement in August 2009. The 173rd Fighter Wing is temporarily relocated to Gowen Field while the runway at their home base at Kingsley Field in Klamath Falls, Ore., is being repaired. The 173rd FW is responsible for training for new pilots and pilot instructors on air-to-air combat tactics and basic flight instructions on the F-15 from Kingsley Field, Ore. The 173rd FW also provides specialized training for flight surgeons, dentists, and optometrists on treating the unique physiological problems of pilots. (U.S. Air Force photo/ Tech. Sgt.
