Thirteen ace pilots visited Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph June 20. The American Fighter Aces Association was founded in 1960 to recognize the 1,450 combat pilots who received the special distinction of becoming an ace by destroying five or more hostile aircraft in air-to-air combat.
