Father-daughter team

McKay and Macfarlane are the first known father-daughter MTI duo in the United States Air Force. McKay presented his daughter, Macfarlane, with her MTI campaign hat at today's ceremony upon her graduation from Military Training Instructor School. Macfarlane was previously a Korean Linguist and upon separation joined the 433rd TRS to pursue being an MTI. McKay is also a member of the 433rd TRS, and is the oldest active "line MTI."
