Nomads lock and load in first F-35A weapons load competition
Airmen with the 58th Aircraft Maintenance Unit, crew one and crew six, compete in a weapons load competition on Eglin Air Force Base, Florida, April 3, 2015. This was the 33rd Fighter Wing’s first weapons load competition since the 2009 draw down of the F-15C Eagle mission and it determined the best F-35A Lightning II weapons load crew. During weapons load competitions, crews are evaluated on a uniform inspection, a written test, a quality assurance inspection of the teams’ tool kits and how safely, efficiently and timely they load munitions on an F-35A.
