VIPER Clinic program aims to reduce AF physical training injuries
David Koch, an embedded athletic trainer with the 59th Medical Wing’s VIPER Clinic, teaches Senior Airman Christopher Rodriguez, a student from the 342nd Training Squadron, proper lifting techniques, Jan. 27, 2016, at the Battle Gym on Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas. Four athletic trainers are working with students at the 342nd and 343rd Training Squadrons to determine the effectiveness of embedding athletic trainers into military physical training programs. If successful, the initiative could potentially reshape how injured trainees receive care. (U.S. Air Force photo/Staff Sgt. Michael Ellis)
