ALS salute
Altus Airman Leadership School Class 16-D students salute the colors as it is lowered during a retreat ceremony at Vance Air Force Base, Oklahoma, March 14. In a nod to Air Force custom, ALS students are required to complete a retreat ceremony as part of their Airmanship tasks. In a cooperation with Altus Air Force Base, Altus ALS instructors commonly travel to Vance to teach classes that are predominantly made up of Vance Airmen, saving the Air Force approximately $30 thousand per class in travel costs.
