19th Air Force experts transform flying training syllabi

U.S. Air Force Maj. Gen. Patrick Doherty, 19th Air Force commander, and Air Education and Training Command pilots, maintainers and flight surgeons, plus NASA personnel gather for a photograph during the command’s collection and analysis of operational flight test data at Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph. The T-6 operational pause which began Feb. 1 was lifted Feb. 27. Following the incidents, a team including experts from the Air Force, Navy, NASA, and medical specialties, came together to aggressively capture and analyze data from the pilots who had experienced physiological events and the aircraft. Brenda S. Sizemore, Director of Business Operations for the 17th Contracting Squadron at Goodfellow Air Force Base, Texas, receives the 2017 Supervisory Civilian of the Year Award from Lt. Gen. Solis executed $9.2 million KC-46 Pegasus support equipment, which processed 1,874 pieces and guaranteed the Wing’s new mission success, identified a critical KC-46 potable water shortfall with a solution that was implemented fleet-wide, and orchestrated a city-wide fundraiser to replace the youth softball and safety equipment, raising $3,500 and providing for 80 children.
