An F-35A Lightning II takes off Jan. 6, 2020, at Luke Air Force Base, Ariz. The F-35 is a fifth-generation fighter that combines stealth, sensor fusion and unprecedented situational awareness that enhance its capability to survive in an advanced threat environment.
