Altus Environmental Team use microbes to filter ground water
The inside of a bioreactor is seen as it is filtering groundwater, Jan. 29, 2020, at Altus Air Force Base, Okla. A bioreactor is the result of adding naturally found microorganisms, or microbes, to a bio wall. This in turn removes potentially harmful chemicals, specifically chlorine, from the ground water while leaving the naturally found elements. (U.S. Air Force photo by Airman 1st Class Breanna Klemm)
