A 80th Flying Training Wing pilot talks war stories with retired Army Capt. Joe Jones and his son, Jim Jones, at Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas, Feb. 28, 2020. Jones fought in the European theater of World War II. Jones was the leader of a rifle platoon and later a weapons platoon (three light machine guns and three mortars.) Jones served under Gen.
