Teleconferencing program gives Air Force dietitians a broader reach
Emily Newman, a registered dietitian nutritionist at Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph, serves as Air Force Tele-Medical Nutrition Therapy program manager. The tele-MNT program uses a hub-and-spoke model that allows RDNs at hub locations to reach out via video teleconferencing to beneficiaries at spoke sites, installations that do not have an RDN, and provide them with nutrition education.
