C-17 Globemaster III aircraft on the runway at Altus Air Force Base, March 31, 2020. The C-17 is one of the three types of aircraft used at the base for training the next generation of mobility Airmen. Missions like these are preserved with the help of the Air Force Civil Engineer's Center's Readiness and Environmental Protection Integration program, which protects real estate in and around our installations to preserve training areas, maintain mission readiness and minimize land encroachment.
