Denmark F-35A embarks on first training flight over Luke AFB
A U.S. Air Force, a Royal Danish Air Force and a Royal Netherlands Air Force F-35A Lightning II fighter jet assigned to the 308th Fighter Squadron, Luke Air Force Base, Arizona, fly in formation May 5, 2021, over Bagdad, Arizona. The flight marked the first training sortie featuring a Danish pilot flying a Denmark-owned F-35. Denmark is one of many countries participating in Luke AFB’s F-35 training program, which is designed to integrate pilots, foreign and domestic, into a common set of tactics and advanced technologies and enables them to execute the mission as one unit.
