Air Force holds GO Inspire event at Howard University

As part of the Department of the Air Force’s GO Inspire Program, Maj. Gen. Randall Reed, Third Air Force commander, and his wife Lynn, visited approximately 40 Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps cadets at Howard University’s Detachment 130 in Washington D.C. They discussed expectations of life in the Air Force and also hosted a question and answer panel. Air Force Recruiting Service’s Detachment 1 was also on hand to talk about the myriad of diversity programs aimed at rated diversity. Howard University is 1 of 774 minority serving institutes the Chief of Staff of the Air Force’s Rated Diversity Improvement Strategy has identified for senior leaders to visit by FY25 to recruit diverse and talented candidates.
