Operation Allies Welcome: Opening arms to our allies

U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Makaila Duffey, 56th Logistics Readiness Squadron logistics planner stands with the U.S. flag, Nov. 23, 2021, at Luke Air Force Base, Arizona. Duffey is one of 76 Airmen from Luke AFB that deployed to Holloman AFB in support of Operation Allies Welcome. The Department of Defense, through U.S. Northern Command, and in support of the Department of Homeland Security, is providing transportation, temporary housing, medical screening, and general support for at least 50,000 Afghan guests at suitable facilities, in permanent or temporary structures, as quickly as possible.
