Photostory: Air Force Russian linguist rehabs from quadriplegia
U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Lauren Arduser, 311th Training Squadron Russian language analyst, pushes a peg into the map, marking a ‘hit’ to her opponent’s battleship, at the St. Louis VA Healthcare System-Jefferson Barracks, Missouri, August 17, 2022. Arduser suffered an interrupted spinal cord injury, meaning her crushed C6 and broken C7 vertebrae required life-saving surgery. Each day during her rehabilitation, Arduser exceeded all expectations for her recovery. (U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Airman Abbey Rieves)
