One couple’s extraordinary journey to becoming Airmen

Tipsie, a 10-year-old Chiweenie rests on a chair at her Dogs on Deployment foster home in Nebraska while owners, Airmen 1st Class Michael and Farwy Canody attend Basic Military Training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas. Their training began in August 2022, and both graduated in late October. Before attending BMT the couple arranged for Dogs on Deployment to provide care for the dog until the family is to reunite later this year.
