Fifth F-35 squadron activates at Luke AFB
U.S. Air Force Col. Matthew Johnston (left), 56th Operations Group commander, hands the guidon to U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. Adam Vogel (right), 310th Fighter Squadron commander, at an assumption of command ceremony June 2, 2023, at Luke Air Force Base, Arizona. Traditionally an F-16 Fighting Falcon squadron, the 310th FS stood back up with F-35 Lightning II aircraft and personnel to begin their new mission, to develop the world’s greatest F-35 fighter pilots, instructors, and leaders.
