Saving a Species: The Sonoran Pronghorn
A total of nine Sonoran pronghorn were released into a temporary holding pen on the Barry M. Goldwater Range East during the annual capture and release, Dec 12 – 13, 2023. This year 22 pronghorn from the Cabeza Prieta National Wildlife Refuge captive breeding pen were relocated to holding pens on either the BMGR, Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument, or Yuma Proving Grounds.
