14CES heritage tree planting
The 14th Flying Training Wing recently received over 6,000 seedlings from the United States Forestry Service for planting on the installation to help with reforestation efforts that benefit the natural environment, on April 24, 2024, at Columbus Air Force Base, Mississippi. Reforestation reduces storm water runoff, improved air quality, enhancing woodland growth to reduce airfield foraging by deer, carbon sequestration and improved soil fertility.
