POW/MIA Remembrance
The POW/MIA Missing Man Table is shown during the Opening Ceremony for the POW/MIA Remembrance 24-hr Run/Walk/Ruck September 19, 2024, at Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas. Airman and participants will keep the POW/MIA flag moving continuously over the next 24 hours in recognition of the 81,198 service members that remain missing in action and the 138,103 that were held as prisoners of war. The continuous movement of the POW/MIA flag symbolizes that we will never stop remembering or honoring those who have not returned. (U.S. Air Force photo by Rachel Ross)
