Leadership becomes MTL-for-a-day

U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Nathan Mitchell, 338th Training Squadron military training leader, provides an accountability briefing to Chief Master Sgt. Ryan Taylor, 81st Training Wing command chief, and Col. Chris Robinson, 81st TRW commander, at Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi, Dec. 15, 2025. Leadership from the 81st TRW participated in the MTL-for-a-day program in order to become more familiar with the operations and challenges faced by MTLs. An MTL is a first-line supervisor to non-prior service enlisted Airmen, which ensures Airmen continue to maintain military standards/discipline learned during Basic Military Training. They also monitor safety in formations, dormitories, and sports. (U.S. Air Force photo by Kemberly Groue)
