U.S. Air Force 56th Equipment Maintenance Squadron non-destructive inspection Airmen, prepare for an inspection, Feb. 17, 2026, at Luke Air Force Base, Arizona. In addition to daily inspections, the NDI process supports long-term aircraft sustainment by identifying trends in material fatigue, which helps prevent recurring issues. This work is fundamental to aircraft readiness at Luke AFB, as it reduces the risk of in-flight emergencies, protects aircrew, and preserves multimillion-dollar assets.
