  • 2nd Air Force commander visits Goodfellow

    Maj. Gen. Andrea Tullos, 2nd Air Force commander, and Chief Master Sgt. Joanne Bass, 2nd Air Force command chief master sergeant, visited Goodfellow Nov. 19 through Nov. 21 to get a sense of the training operations here. This was Tullos’ first visit to Goodfellow as the 2nd Air Force commander.
  • Air Force Language Professional of the Year Award

    Tech. Sgt. Samuel Han, 316th Training Squadron instructor supervisor, received this year’s Air Force level Language Professional of the Year Award. The AF LPOY Award is the most prestigious award given out to the linguist community and is given out to one individual across the Air Force.
  • A man before a hero

    March 4, 1976, Capt. Lance Sijan was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor, presented to his family by President Gerald Ford. Many know the story of Lance and his determination in the face of the Vietnamese jungle and an enemy compound, but his sister Janine Sijan shared even more of his story at the base theater here on Oct. 24.

    Senior Airman Tiffany Jordan, 17th Healthcare Operations Squadron medical technician, was selected by her supervisors and leadership as the August Medic of the Month. She exceeded their standards of professionalism and expertise functioning at a flight chief level.
