    Twenty-five years ago in Gunfighter history on Oct. 16, the 149th Fighter Group was redesignated as the 149th Fighter Wing at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas. Today, the 149th FW trains combat-ready F-16 pilots for worldwide operations.
