  • Hypobaric altitude chamber finds new home at 344th Training Squadron

    A hypobaric altitude chamber claimed the 344th Training Squadron Career Enlisted Aviator Center of Excellence hangar as its new home at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas, Aug. 25, 2020. The 344 TRS team worked closely with members of 19th Air Force to make this repositioning possible and also received support for the 502nd Air Base Wing Civil Engineer.

    The 37th Training Wing nominees of the 2020 Lance P. Sijan Leadership Award were recognized during an award ceremony at Joint Base San Antonio Lackland, Texas, July 29, 2020. This distinguished honor is awarded to Airmen who demonstrated the highest qualities of leadership across the Air Force.

    JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-LACKLAND, Texas – Just over 26 years ago, an 18-year-old from Berlin, Massachusetts, experienced equal parts of shock and awe when he first stepped onto Lackland to begin his Air Force journey. Now the command chief for the 37th Training Wing, Chief Master Sgt. Michael Morgan is well over his shock, but the awe is still there.

    The 37th Training Wing annual awards for 2020 took place March 5, 2021, after Winter Storm Uri forced a two-week delay of the ceremony. The ceremony – part virtual and part in-person – had the appropriate theme of “Fight Through.”
