    To ensure the safety of base aircrew and citizens residing near Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph, a blanket Intergovernmental Support Agreement was utilized for the first time with the Alamo Area Council of Governments which incorporates a contract managed by Universal City, Texas. This historic partnership was publicly recognized at an event Nov. 10.

    Senior leaders from the 433rd Airlift Wing, the Air Force Personnel Center, the city of San Antonio, and Bexar County Metropolitan Public Health District, gathered Sept. 17 to recognize 433rd AW Reserve Citizen Airmen who assisted at the Bexar County COVID-19 Operations Center in the San Antonio Alamodome.

    As Joint Base San Antonio prepares to begin reopening services through phased, deliberate measures, personnel continue to follow the guidelines, such as physical distancing and capacity limits, established by local and state leaders, as well as the Department of Defense and Centers for Disease Control, in order to limit the spread of COVID-19 within the community.

  • JBSA's 502nd LRS supports task forces deployed to San Antonio hospitals

    As service members descended upon San Antonio to provide COVID-19 support to Texas hospitals, 502nd Logistics Readiness Squadron personnel were simultaneously conducting critical missions to ensure arriving health care workers were ready to relieve local hospitals and support communities across Texas.
