To aid in housing challenges Airmen face, Air Force leaders created a new service-wide position called the privatized housing resident advocate.

This award was a way to show the 97th AMW command team how much its members appreciate their hard work and leadership for the past two years in Mobility’s Hometown. Col. Matthew Leard, 97th AMW commander, and Chief Master Sgt. Randy Kay II, 97th AMW command chief, were the 15th and 16th members of the wing to be inducted into the order.

    A C-17 Globemaster III aircrew from the 97th Air Mobility Wing, flew to the United States Air Force Academy, Colorado, to perform a flyover for graduation week, May 20, 2021. In its 66 years of service, the Air Force Academy has commissioned 52,000 Second Lieutenants through its rigorous four year program.
