If you’re Gabirele McStanislav-Cudjoe, a cadet in Air Force Officer Training School, you’re from a different country, your first spoken language isn’t English and you came from a different branch of the U.S. military. Of all the differences between McStanislav-Cudjoe and his fellow cadets, however, the one thing that truly makes him stand out is his heart.

    Air University’s Air Command and Staff College was recently announced as one of five winners of the 2017 Innovation Challenge during the Air Education and Training Command’s Senior Leader Conference March 21, at Vandenberg Air Force Base, California. ACSC’s Multi-Domain Operational Strategist Concentration (MDOS) was the group recognized for its innovation after winning the Chief of Staff of the Air Force Priority #2 category: Expand the joint & multi-domain warfighting abilities of assigned Airmen.
  • AU instructor recognized as educator of the year

    Since it was created in 1946, Air University played a critical role in military education thanks to its team of instructors, one of whom has recently distinguished himself from the rest after winning a major award. Lt. Col. David J. Ratliff, Ira C. Eaker Center for Professional Development instructor, was recently selected as the 2017 Air Force Financial Management and Comptroller Educator of the Year.
  • Air University wraps up third annual LREC symposium

    Air University’s third annual Language, Regional Expertise and Culture Symposium was held Wednesday and Thursday, here. The event welcomed experts from around the world to talk about the importance of culture and language’s role in airpower. The theme for this year’s symposium was “Cultural Agility,” based on the Air Force Future Operating Concept for 2035, which focuses on operational agility.
