  • AC-130W Stinger II adds modern relevance to technical training

    A new aircraft arrived here Oct. 19, 2020, that will provide some much-needed firepower and an advanced training platform for armament and crew chief Airmen in Training in the near future. The AC-130W Stinger II from Cannon AFB, New Mexico, will serve as a new ground instructional trainer for ammo and armament students in the 363rd TRS as well as crew chief students in the 362nd TRS.

  • Student assignment process focus of Sheppard's first Art of the Possible event

    An initiative that encourages innovation and creativity that challenges the status quo is underway here to take a soups-to-nuts look at the technical training process and, over time, improve its various phases employing a constraints-based management system used by Air Force Sustainment Centers. A multifunctional team at Sheppard AFB has employed Art of the Possible concepts to standardize and streamline the student assignment process.
