In June of 2007, Air Force Office of Special Investigations Special Agent Ryan Balmer, died when his vehicle was struck by an improvised explosive device in Kirkuk, Iraq. His son, Airman Joshua Balmer, 737th Training Group basic military training graduate, followed in his father’s footsteps and joined the Air Force.
