    A major part of becoming an effective leader is learning how to communicate efficiently with peers, leadership and subordinates. Although practice is the best learning tool, one must first understand how people communicate.

    Columbus AFB Airmen and Memphis Center connect

    Instructor pilots from the 37th, 41st, 48th and 50th Flying Training Squadron's joined Columbus Air Force Base’s Air Traffic Controllers on a trip to the Memphis Center in order to connect, share knowledge, ask questions and reinforce the connection between the two entities.

    Columbus AFB honors retirees during appreciation day

    Members of Team BLAZE and the Columbus, Mississippi, came together Nov. 14 during the base’s Retiree Appreciation Day to focus on military retirees in the local area and show them some gratitude.

    The 14th Flying Training Wing unveiled the last of its six heritage flagship aircraft during a ceremony at the Walker Center Oct. 25 on Columbus Air Force Base.

    Columbus AFB Spark Cell shares best practices with Tinker AFB Airmen

    The Columbus Air Force Base Spark Cell is leading the way across the Air Force for what an innovation lab should be, so much so, that a team from Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma, visited Columbus AFB Feb. 13 to gain insight of how to develop a spark cell at their base.
