  • 14th CONS helps replace BX roof, improves QoL

    The 14th Contracting Squadron aided in the recent replacement of the Base Exchange’s roof to improve the quality of life for Airmen and their families at Columbus Air Force Base, Mississippi. In total, the project cost $617,589 and took nearly 4 months to complete.
  • Columbus AFB commemorates Tuskegee Airmen

    The Airmen of Columbus Air Force Base make history everyday by providing exceptional pilots to project airpower across the globe but now they have a very special tie to our Air Force legacy. On the 10th of February, the 41st Flying Training Squadron officially opened an innovation flight room and named it in honor of the former World War II, commander of the 99th Fighter Squadron and 332nd Fighter Group, General Benjamin O. Davis Jr, but that was just the beginning.
  • 14th LRS commander recognized; brings home award

    U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. Michael Kennedy, 14th Logistics Readiness Squadron commander, was awarded with the Air Education and Training Command’s Outstanding Logistics Readiness Field Grade Officer of the Year award for 2020, on January 25, 2021.
  • Controller commemorated with 40 years of ATC

    Retired U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. Walter Boltwood, assistant Radar Approach Control (RAPCON) controller, celebrated 40 accumulated years of air traffic control with friends and family at the ATC tower on January 7, 2021, at Columbus Air Force Base, Mississippi.
  • Columbus AFB hosts two graduations amidst COVID-19 regulations

    Thirty-two pilots graduated from Specialized Undergraduate Pilot Training at Columbus Air Force Base, Miss. on Dec. 11, 2020. In order to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, the larger class was spilt up into two ceremonies, allowing proper social distancing among the graduates and family members attending.
