  • Five 37th TRG instructors earn AETC master instructor designation

    Training squadrons rely on instructors to train the next generation of Airmen on the technical skills needed to perform in their career field specialties. Many Airmen come to Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland as formal technical training instructors; however, few earn the designation of master instructor – the highest honor Air Education and Training Command bestows on instructors.

    A group of Occupational Safety career specialists recently met at Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph to participate in an Occupational Competency Model Study focused on combining task-based knowledge and skills with other behaviors and soft skills such as teamwork, critical thinking, self-control, resiliency, leadership and stress management intended to create behavior-based outcomes. 
  • Centralized Cargo Operations: Unique team with critical mission

    One of the precautions taken by Air Education and Training Command leadership at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic was adding a second Basic Military Training location at Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi, to help better ensure physical distancing between recruits. Accomplishing this task required many other logistical modifications — a task Joint Base San Antonio's Centralized Cargo Operations team had a key role in.
  • Fallen Security Forces Airmen honored at 12th Annual Defender Ruck

    Over 1,100 Security Forces Airmen gathered for the 12th Annual Defender Ruck, hosted by the 343rd Training Squadron, in honor of all 186 Defender Airmen who have made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of freedom, Nov. 8 at Camp Bullis.
