SHEPPARD AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- Ace awards are not just given they are earned through sweat and determination. An Airman who receives the ace award are an embodiment of the Air Force's third core value - excellence in all we do.
To receive the Ammo Ace Award, the student must achieve a 100 percent on all seven block tests in the Munitions Systems apprentice course.
"Achieving this awards is a direct reflection of Airman 1st Class Dodd’s diligence during his time here at Sheppard Air Force Base. His leadership and job performance exemplified the Air Force’s core values of Integrity First, Service before Self, and Excellence in all we do. Airman Dodd’s laser focus to his studies has undoubtedly set the standard high for his peers and for those Airmen who are to follow at the 363rd Training Squadron. At his graduation, Airman Dodd championed the National Anthem, which only solidified his commitment to embracing the Whole Airman concept. There is no doubt he will continue to embrace the values of the Air Force at his gaining base, Minot AFB, North Dakota, and that he will set the standard high for those who surround him." said Tech.
