BRIGADIER GENERAL DAVID B. WARNER

Brig. Gen. David B. Warner is the Director, Communications and Information, and Chief Information Officer, Headquarters Air Force Space Command, Peterson Air Force Base, Colo. General Warner is responsible for organizing, training, and equipping the Air Force's space and cyber forces with communications and information capability, including the Air Force's new cyber numbered air force supporting U.S. Strategic Command. He also acts on behalf of the Commander, Air Force Space Command, as the Air Force's Designated Approval Authority for all systems connecting to the Air Force network enterprise.

General Warner entered the Air Force as a distinguished graduate of the ROTC program at Southwest Texas State University. He has pursued a wide-ranging career including interoperability test director for the E-3A and the Air Force representative to the Joint and Allied Data Link Standards Configuration Control Boards. He has also served as Chief of the Information Assurance Division, Headquarters U.S. Air Force; Director of Communications and Information, Headquarters U.S. Air Forces in Europe; and Director for Command, Control, Communications and Computer Systems, U.S. Joint Forces Command. The general has commanded at the squadron and group levels. Prior to his current assignment, he was Director, Command and Control Programs, Defense Information Systems Agency.
