MAJOR GENERAL RICHARD A. SHOOK JR.

Maj. Gen. Richard A. Shook Jr. is the mobilization assistant to the Chief of the Air Force Reserve.

The general entered the Air Force in May 1978 as a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy. His assignments include command and staff positions in U.S. Joint Forces Command, Air Education and Training Command, and Air Combat Command. General Shook's combat assignment included duty in the Combined Air and Space Operations Center in Southwest Asia during operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom. He transitioned to the Air Force Reserve in 1989 and is a senior pilot with more than 2,200 hours in the T-37, T-38 and F-15.
