BRIGADIER GENERAL DAVID R. MYERS

Brig. Gen. David R. Myers is mobilization assistant to the Director, Communications and Information, Headquarters Air Force Space Command, Peterson Air Force Base, Colo. He assists in providing major command staff policy and guidelines for current operations, exercises and mobility planning for Air Force Space Command, U.S. Space Command, North American Aerospace Defense Command and U.S. Strategic Command communications computer systems. He is also responsible for providing support in the development of command operations policy for tactical warning and attack assessment data, missile launch command and control, voice and data systems, and local and wide area networking. 

General Myers entered the Air Force through San Diego State's Reserve Officer Training Corps program. After serving alert duty with the Minuteman I Intercontinental Ballistic Missile Force in Strategic Air Command, he completed Computer Programming Officers School and was assigned to Air Force System Command. He then transferred to Air Force Space Command in 1991 when launch operations were moved from Air Force Materiel Command. He became the individual mobilization augmentee to the Commander, 30th Space Wing, Vandenberg AFB, Calif., prior to his current position. In his civilian occupation, he is director of mission systems for an advanced technology company.
