BRIGADIER GENERAL DAVE C. HOWE

Brig. Gen. Dave C. Howe is the Director of Installations and Mission Support, Headquarters Air Combat Command, Langley Air Force Base, Va. He leads ACC's base and expeditionary combat support activities for civil engineering, security forces and contracting. He also oversees the command's Acquisition Management and Integration Center. General Howe's area of responsibility includes 22 wings, 13 bases and more than 300 operating locations worldwide. He is responsible for organizing, training, equipping, and preparing combat-ready Airmen for combatant commanders, and he manages ACC installations and ranges to deliver critical combat assets and a wide spectrum of quality-of-life projects.

General Howe entered the Air Force in 1981 after obtaining his commission through the Reserve Officer Training Corps program at the University of Kansas at Lawrence, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering. He has served in a variety of assignments at the base, major command and Air Staff levels. His commands include two civil engineer squadrons and the 305th Mission Support Group, McGuire AFB, N.J. Prior to his current assignment, the general was Director of Logistics, Installations and Mission Support, Headquarters U.S. Air Forces in Europe.
