SHEILA M. EARLE

Sheila M. Earle, a member of the Senior Executive Service, is Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Manpower and Reserve Affairs, Washington, D.C. She acts for and assists in executing the responsibilities of the Assistant Secretary in the supervision of manpower, military and civilian personnel, Reserve component affairs, and readiness support for the Department of the Air Force. She provides guidance, direction and executive oversight to the Deputy Assistant Secretaries for Management Integration, Strategic Diversity Integration, Reserve Affairs and the Deputy for the Air Force Review Boards Agency.

Ms. Earle hails from an Air Force family and earned her commission as a distinguished graduate of ROTC program at California State University, Fresno. Her more than 20-year Air Force military career was performed in the field of human resources and military personnel management, including service as Chief of Compensation and Chief of Personnel Plans and Future systems for Headquarters U.S. Air Force. She commanded a training squadron, and served on the staff of the Secretary of Defense as the Assistant Director of Compensation and the Director of Officer and Enlisted Personnel Management.

Prior to her current assignment, she served as Executive Director, Air Force Personnel Center, Randolph Air Force Base, Texas. The center's primary focus is to ensure commanders around the world have the right number of skilled Air Force people in the proper grades and specialties to complete their missions. Ms. Earle has extensive joint experience, including assignments in the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Under Secretary of Defense (Personnel and Readiness).
