MAJOR GENERAL ROBERT K. MILLMANN JR.

Maj. Gen. Robert K. Millmann, Jr., is the Mobilization Assistant to the Commander, 7th Air Force, Osan Air Base, South Korea. The 7th Air Force mission is to organize, train and equip warfighting forces supporting the Air Component Command assigned to the Combined Forces Command and perform missions that support United Nations Command armistice maintenance. General Millmann is designated as the Deputy Commander Air Force Forces and is qualified as the Deputy Combined Forces Air Component Commander.

General Millmann was commissioned through Officer Training School in 1980. After completion of undergraduate pilot training, the general served in a number of operational positions before joining the Air Force Reserve in 1988. He was recalled to active duty in October 1990 and commanded multiple combat support missions during operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm. The general has commanded an air refueling squadron; an expeditionary air refueling squadron while deployed in support of operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom; and served as vice wing commander of the largest Reserve Associate Wing in the Air Force. Additionally, he deployed as the Director of Mobility Forces for U.S. Northern Command during hurricanes Gustav, Hanna and Ike in 2008; and for U.S. Southern Command during Operation Unified Response following the Haiti earthquake in 2010.

Prior to assuming his current duties, General Millmann served as Mobilization Assistant to the Commander, Air Force Reserve Command, Robins Air Force Base, Ga. The general is a command pilot with more than 5,200 hours in military aircraft. In his civilian capacity, he is a captain for a major U.S. commercial airline.
