Brigadier General WILLIAM L. OTTATI 

Brig. Gen. William L. Ottati is Program Executive Officer for Presidential and Executive Airpower, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. He is responsible for planning and executing all life-cycle activities related to the recapitalization of Air Force One and E-4B aircraft, and sustainment of the current Air Force One, E-4B, C-12, C-21, C-32, C-37 and C-40 aircraft.

Brig. Gen. Ottati received his commission from the United States Air Force Academy in June of 1999. During his career, he has served as Senior Materiel Leader for the International Airborne Battle Management Command and Control Division in the Program Executive Office, Digital at Hanscom Air Force Base, Massachusetts and was also Material Leader and Branch Chief for the C-130J Program, at AFLCMC’s Mobility Directorate at Wright-Patterson. Additionally, Brig. Gen. Ottati was a student in the System Design and Management Program at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and prior to that was the Military Assistant to the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force (Acquisition). His other assignments include tours as a behavioral scientist and human factors engineer in the Air Force Research Laboratory, and Flight Commander and Instructor for Basic Officer Training at Officer Training School, where he educated and trained 90 future Air Force officers. He also served as the Deputy Commander for Detachment 5 of the Air Force Research Laboratory, as well as the Deputy Chief for the Radio Frequency Radiation Branch of the Directed Energy Bioeffects Division, Human Effectiveness Directorate. He has also held staff assignments as aide-de-camp to the Commander of the Air Force Doctrine Center, and various executive officer positions for the Commander of the 24th Training Squadron, Commander of the 380th Air Expeditionary Wing and the Air Force Scientific Advisory Board.

Prior to his current assignment, he was the KC-46 System Program Manager, Mobility and Training Aircraft Directorate, AFLCMC, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio.
