  • 19th Air Force leadership visits the 33rd Fighter Wing

    Maj. Gen. Craig D. Wills, 19th Air Force commander, and Chief Master Sgt. Kristina Rogers, 19th Air Force command chief, visited the 33rd Fighter Wing at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida, June 7-8.  Wills and Rogers visited the 33rd FW to meet with the Airmen, host a commander’s call to discuss the updates to pilot training, and learn about rated diversity and community outreach efforts conducted by the 33rd FW personnel. 
  • Officers graduate Advanced Study of Air Mobility program

    Sixteen officers graduated from the Advanced Study of Air Mobility program, which is taught at the U.S. Air Force Expeditionary Center. These graduates will integrate and immediately apply their knowledge, expertise and leadership in mobility to their future assignments. Guest speaker for the ceremony was Lt. Gen. Brad Webb, commander of Air Education and Training Command.
  • Maxwell hosts first DoDEA pilot program, opens application for off-base children

    “This program expands public education options in the River Region,” said Lt. Gen. James Hecker, Air University commander and president. “We appreciate the great local community partners and DoDEA collaborations to increase public education options, and we’ll continue to work with them and the team at DoDEA on this important issue.”

  • Department of the Air Force approves special leave accrual for fiscal year 2021

    Air Force and Space Force members performing active service, and Reserve and Guard Airmen on Title 10 or Title 32 orders, can now accrue up to 120 days of annual leave for fiscal year 2021 instead of the typical 60 days of leave.
  • RDA opens doors for military, community partnerships

    A multifaceted group of area leaders and influencers were seated at Sheppard AFB recently for its first Regional Development Alliance meeting. Military, local, state and federal stakeholders came together to communicate, coordinate, understand and address the key issues and challenges facing military communities in North Texas and Southwest Oklahoma.
