  • AETC’s Detachment 62 leading Agility Prime’s training effort

    Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. Charles Q. Brown, Jr., has empowered Airmen across the Air Force to make decisions at the speed needed in a dynamic global environment, urging them to remove bureaucratic processes and eliminate redundancies to help the service increase effectiveness, drive innovation, and achieve success. In collaboration with the AFWERX Agility Prime program, Air Education and Training Command recently stood up Detachment 62 to establish Agility Prime training and certification standards for emerging electric Vertical Takeoff and Landing aircraft (eVTOL) vehicles.
  • Laughlin supports Holloman AFB and Operation Allies Welcome

    Members of Laughlin’s 86th Flying Training Squadron delivered quality-of-life essentials to Holloman Air Force Base, New Mexico on Oct. 18, 2021 in support of Operation Allies Welcome. The crew loaded over 600 pounds of supplies, donated from squadrons across Laughlin, into their T-1 and headed west to Holloman where the base is currently housing over 4,000 Afghan refugees.

    Episode 57 focused on the third group of the Air Force foundational competencies – Developing Ideas. In this episode, Jamal Qaiyyim, foundational competencies branch chief at Headquarters AETC, shared his insight on ways the A3/J team creates road maps for Airmen to better prepare them for the future. He was joined by Lt. Gen. Clinton Hinote, deputy chief of staff for strategy, integration and requirements at Headquarters Air Force. Hinote discussed how Airmen continue to use this competency to prepare the force for the future, referring to Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. Charles Q. Brown’s mandate to Accelerate Change or Lose.

  • 19th Air Force leadership visits the 33rd Fighter Wing

    Maj. Gen. Craig D. Wills, 19th Air Force commander, and Chief Master Sgt. Kristina Rogers, 19th Air Force command chief, visited the 33rd Fighter Wing at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida, June 7-8.  Wills and Rogers visited the 33rd FW to meet with the Airmen, host a commander’s call to discuss the updates to pilot training, and learn about rated diversity and community outreach efforts conducted by the 33rd FW personnel.
