  • Air Force foundational competency Developing Ideas group on latest “The Air Force Starts Here” podcast

    Episode 57 focused on the third group of the Air Force foundational competencies – Developing Ideas. In this episode, Jamal Qaiyyim, foundational competencies branch chief at Headquarters AETC, shared his insight on ways the A3/J team creates road maps for Airmen to better prepare them for the future. He was joined by Lt. Gen. Clinton Hinote, deputy chief of staff for strategy, integration and requirements at Headquarters Air Force. Hinote discussed how Airmen continue to use this competency to prepare the force for the future, referring to Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. Charles Q. Brown’s mandate to Accelerate Change or Lose.
  • AETC Innovation Summit set for Nov. 10

    The 6th Innovation Summit (iSummit) will be hosted virtually by Air Education and Training Command officials Nov. 10 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. The theme for the event is, “Innovation Accelerators You Need to Know.” The iSummit is designed to advance collaboration by providing AETC Airmen at all levels.

  • Graduate School Faculty Receive Academic Promotion

    The Air Force Institute of Technology’s Graduate School of Engineering and Management completed the academic year 2018-19 promotion and tenure (P&T) cycle. Six faculty members underwent a rigorous evaluation of their teaching, scholarship and service resulting in a promotion in academic rank. Cumulatively, the six faculty members have more than 552 publications, advised more than 173 AFIT students, and earned nearly $40 million in sponsored research funds.
