Mentorship Matters
Brig. Gen. Stephen Snelson sits down for an interview with an Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps cadet at Syracuse University. Snelson, who is the Commander, U.S. Air Force Expeditionary Center, Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J., is Det. 535’s official senior mentor as part of AFROTC’s Mentorship Matters program, His Nov. 4-5, 2024, visit with cadets included a tour of the engineering and computer science department, a morning physical training session with cadets, as well as mentoring sessions. The Mentorship Matters program pairs Air and Space Force General officers with all 145 AFRTOC detachments across the country.
