  • First Space Force intelligence officer to train at Goodfellow AFB

    The first U.S. Space Force intelligence officer, 2nd Lt. Samuel Pisney, is scheduled to attend the Air Force’s 14N1 Intelligence Officer course in September, here on Goodfellow Air Force Base.
  • Goodfellow launches James H. Doolittle Fellowship Program with ASU

    The James H. Doolittle Fellowship Program entered the playing field as 17th Training Group Director of Education Angelic Crawford, and Col. Thomas Coakley, 17th TRG commander, signed the agreement into effect at the Brandenburg Hall here June 16.
  • Intelligence officer course grads earn educational credit through partnership with Angelo State University

    Amidst COVID-19, Angelo State University and the 17th Training Group virtually signed into effect an articulation agreement amendment May 27, allowing the 14N Intelligence Officer course graduates to transfer 12 semester hours towards an additional ASU graduate program.
  • 312th TRS continues training DoD firefighters

    Despite COVID-19, the Air Education and Training Command’s mission continues. The Louis F. Garland Department of Defense Fire Academy has adjusted for COVID by requiring face coverings to be worn, social distancing when possible, and following other Center for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines, but other than that it’s business as usual.
  • 315th TRS Hosts ‘Break the Pandemic’ Morale Event

    Members of the 315th Training Squadron here hosted a ‘Break the Pandemic’ morale event April 11. In response to social restrictions due to COVID-19, the 315th TRS decided to organize an event to ensure the mental and physical well-being for Goodfellow members.
