    Civil Air Patrol is one of the four partners in the U.S. Air Force Total Force. Consisting of CAP as the Air Force auxiliary as well as the Air National Guard, Air Force Reserve and active-duty Air Force, each partner has specific missions that often foster collaboration.
  • Air Force improves lactation support for nursing mothers

    The Department of the Air Force recently announced new guidance that will improve support to nursing mothers when they return to work after having a baby. The updated policy, effective immediately, increases flexibility with lactation breaks and also mandates access to a refrigerator for the purpose of storing human milk.
  • Air Force Recruiting teams up with College Football Hall of Fame

    At the beginning of 2020, the Air Force entered into a three-year agreement with the Chick-fil-A College Football Hall of Fame to build a permanent exhibit for the Air Force AIR RAID QB Sim experience.

    In June 2020, former Secretary of the Air Force Barbara Barrett stood up a Diversity and Inclusion Task Force, which has evolved into this new office. The organization will work directly for the secretary of the Air Force and continue to address the strategic impact of diversity, inclusion and equity on Airmen, Guardians and their families.
  • Air Force announces Airmen leadership qualities

    The Airman leadership qualities are expected to form the basis for the future officer and enlisted performance reporting systems. The alignment between evaluating units and evaluating Airmen is intended to further emphasize and accelerate an understanding and adoption of the associated leadership qualities.
  • Total Force Airmen can now self-report joint experience in MyVector

    Total Force officer, enlisted and civilian personnel now have the ability to input their joint experiences within the MyVector platform, allowing members to, more effectively, report joint experiences when being selected for future development and assignments by commanders.
  • Diversity & Inclusion Strategic Action Team partners with NPHC

    The Department of the Air Force’s Diversity & Inclusion Strategic Action Team recently began working with the District of Columbia’s National Pan-Hellenic Council to inform youth in the region of the multiple opportunities the Air Force and Space Force offer.
  • SNCOA instructor attends Royal Canadian Air Force Academy course

    Senior Master Sgt. Matthew R. Mitchell, Air Force Senior Noncommissioned Officer Academy instructor, was recently selected to attend the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) annual Senior Air Environmental Qualification (SAEQ) course.
